Editing Tools

The main editing tool I use for my videos is Final Cut Pro.

It’s around £300 ($300) for a single time purchase, and it’s one of the many reasons I recommend it over something like Adobe Premiere Pro.

As a tool, it’s very powerful while looking very simple to use. A lot of that power has enabled me to make videos faster than someone on other non-linear editors.

For motion graphics, I primarily use Apple Motion.

For the price, this is a very powerful little motion graphics design app, and it works and integrates right into Final Cut Pro.

With this software I’m able to build complex templates and animations to use in Final Cut Pro and re-use for multiple projects for my channel. And you can’t beat the price!

If you want to speed up editing, I cannot recommend Recut enough.

Recut analyses the audio in your video or audio files and removes the silent pauses and breaks automatically. It’s magical.

It’s saved me countless hours editing, because all that initial editing time has been cut down to literally minutes. Highly recommend every creator picks this tool up.

For my music and sound effects, I’ve always used Epidemic Sound.

I’ve always loved the selection of music they have to offer, and I could not live without it.

They’ve become an integral part of my video editing process for all of my YouTube videos.

Predict Results with CreatorML

Now CreatorML is a serious tool I use for all of my videos. It uses machine learning to predict what thumbnail and title combos will result in the most views.

It’s a fantastic tool to get insight on how well your video will perform.

The best research tool for creators

VidIQ has been in my arsenal for a while, and I use it for a lot of background research on what’s performing well.

Their new AI driven tools are great for asking hyper specific questions about your channel and getting guidance on what is performing well and what you should double down on.
